Only industrial producer prices fell in the year 2025

Agricultural producer prices fell by 2.7% both month-on-month (m-o-m) and year-on-year (y-o-y) in December. Industrial producer prices decreased by 0.2% m-o-m and by 2.1% y‑o‑y. Construction work prices remained unchanged m-o-m and rose by 3.0% y-o-y. Service producer prices in the business sphere went down by 0.1% m-o-m and grew by 4.0% y-o‑y. Compared to 2024, on average for the whole year 2025, agricultural producer prices (+7.9%), construction work prices (+3.0%) and service producer prices in the business sphere (+4.1%) went up, while industrial producer prices decreased (-0.8%).

“On average for the whole year 2025 compared to the year 2024, only prices of industrial producers decreased by 0.8%. On the other hand, agricultural producer prices were higher by 7.9%, construction work prices by 3.0% and service producer prices in the business sphere by 4.1%,” noted Vladimir Klimes, head of Industrial and International Trade Prices Statistics Unit of CZSO.

Agricultural producer prices fell by 2.7% m-o-m. Decrease was recorded for prices of fruit (‑11.4%), pig for slaughter (-4.9%), milk (-2.9%), cereals (-2.8%), cattle for slaughter (-1.3%) and poultry (-0.6%). Rising were prices of eggs (+7.6%), potatoes (+5.4%), vegetables (+4.2%) and oilseeds (+0.4%). Y-o-y, agricultural producer prices were lower by 2.7% (+1.2% in November). In crop production, prices went down by 10.8%. The decline was in prices of fruit (‑31.6%), vegetables (‑19.6%), potatoes (-15.0%), cereals (-9.5%) and oilseeds (-5.5%). In animal production, prices were higher by 7.3%. Increase occurred in prices of cattle for slaughter (+37.8%), eggs (+25.3%), poultry (+12.4%) and milk (+2.7%). Prices of pigs for slaughter were lower (-16.7%).
Compared to 2024, on average for the whole year 2025, agricultural producer prices grew by 7.9% (-5.9% in 2024). Prices in crop production rose by 3.0% and prices for animal production by 14.7%. Rising were prices of oilseeds (+13.2%), cereals (+5.2%) and fruit (+3.8%). Prices of potatoes (-20.1%) and vegetables (‑10.8%) dropped. In animal production, prices of eggs (+36.0%), cattle for slaughter (+32.0%), milk (+16.8%) and poultry (+8.0%) grew, while prices of pigs for slaughter declined (-9.8%).

Prices of industrial producers decreased by 0.2% m-o-m. Prices fell especially in ‘coke, refined petroleum products’. Lower were prices in ‘food products’ (-0.4%), thereof ‘dairy products’ (-1.6%) and ‘preserved meat and meat products’ (-0.4%). Higher were prices in ‘bakery and farinaceous products’ and ‘prepared animal feeds’ (+0.3% both). Prices went down in ‘chemicals and chemical products’ (-0.4%) and ‘rubber and plastics products’ (-0.3%). Prices went up in ‘electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning’ (+0.8%), ‘printing and recording services (+2.3%) and ‘motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers’ and ‘basic metals’ (+0.2% both). Prices of industrial producers fell by 2.1% y-o-y (-1.3% in November). Prices went down in ‘electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning’ (-5.6%). Prices fell in ‘coke, refined petroleum products’. Prices were lower in ‘chemicals and chemical products’ (-8.1%) and ‘motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers’ (‑2.0%). On the increase were prices in ‘repair and installation services of machinery and equipment’ (+3.8%), ‘wood and products of wood and cork, except furniture (+7.9%) and ‘other non-metallic mineral products’ (+2.5%). Prices increased in ‘food products’ (+0.5%), thereof ‘preserved meat and meat products’ (+1.5%) and ‘prepared animal feeds’ (+3.3%). Prices fell in ‘dairy products’ (-3.5%). Among the main industrial groupings, prices of ‘energy’ (‑6.4%) and ‘intermediate goods’ (-0.8%) went down y-o-y, prices of ‘durable consumer goods’ (+2.2%) and ‘non-durable consumer goods (+0.7%) went up. Prices of industrial producers excluding energy were lower by 0.3% (-0.5% in November).
Prices of industrial producers decreased on average by 0.8% in 2025 y-o-y (+0.8% in 2024). Prices fell the most in ‘crude petroleum and natural gas’ (-15.5%), ‘coal and lignite’ (-9.6%) and ‘chemicals and chemical products’ (-5.6%). On the increase were prices in ‘other mining and quarrying products’ (+5.8%), ‘wood and products of wood and cork, except furniture’ (+4.8%) and ‘repair and installation services of machinery and equipment’ and ‘natural water; water treatment and supply services’ (+4.1% both).

Construction work prices, as estimated, remained unchanged and prices of construction material and products input went up by 0.2% m-o-m. According to the estimate, y-o-y construction work prices increased by 3.0% (+3.2% in November) and prices for construction material and products input grew by 1.6% (+1.1% in November).
Compared to 2024, on average for the whole year 2025, construction work prices, as estimated, grew by 3.0% (+2.0% in 2024 after updating). Prices of construction material and products input increased by 1.0% on average for the whole year 2025 (-0.5% in 2024).

Service producer prices in the business sphere decreased by 0.1% m-o-m. Prices for ‘motion picture, video and television programme production services, sound recording and music publishing’ (-4.5%), ‘programming and broadcasting services’ (-2.3%), ‘employment services’ (‑1.6%) and ‘advertising and market research services’ (-1.3%) went down. Rising were prices of ‘information services’ (+1.1%), publishing services(+1.0%), services of head offices; management consulting services(+0.6%) and ‘computer programming, consultancy and related services’ (+0.5%). Service producer prices in the business sphere, excluding advertising services remained unchanged. Service producer prices in the business sphere went up by 4.0% y-o‑y (+4.3% in November). Prices for ‘advertising and market research services’ (+16.1%), ‘programming and broadcasting services’ (+13.2%) and ‘employment services’ (+8.9%) rose. Service producer prices in the business sphere, excluding advertising services, were higher by 3.0% (+3.1% in November).
Compared to 2024, on average for the whole year 2025, service producer prices in the business sphere increased by 4.1% (+3.8% in 2024). Prices were higher for ‘programming and broadcasting services’ (+16.1%), ‘advertising and market research services’ (+13.9%), ‘security and investigation services’ (+11.7%), ‘employment services’ (+9.2%), warehousing and support services for transportation’ (+6.1%), publishing services(+5.1%), insurance, reinsurance and pension funding services, except compulsory social security(+4.5%), ‘postal and courier services’ (+4.3%) and ‘real estate services’ (+3.9%). Prices of land transport services’ did not change. Service producer prices in the business sphere, excluding advertising services, increased by 3.3% (same as in 2024).

Industrial producer prices in the EU – November 2025 (preliminary data) 

According to the Eurostat News Releases, industrial producer prices rose in November by 0.6% in EU27 (in October they increased by 0.1%), m-o-m. The highest increases were recorded in Ireland (+4.4%), Sweden (+1.9%), Bulgaria and Greece (+1.6% both). Prices went up in Austria (+0.5%) and Czechia (+0.3%) and remained stable in Germany and Poland. The largest decreases were observed in Slovakia (-0.9%), Cyprus (-0.8%) and Spain (-0.5%). Industrial producer prices went down in November by 1.3% (in October they fell by 0.2%) in EU27, y-o-y. The largest decreases were recorded in Luxembourg (-5.5%), Portugal (-3.8%) and Ireland (‑3.6%). Prices went down in Austria (-2.8%), Germany (-2.2%), Poland (-2.0%) and Czechia (‑1.3%) and up in Slovakia (+0.8%). The highest increases were observed in Bulgaria (+13.8%), Romania (+4.9%) and Estonia (+3.2%).

Service producer prices in the business sphere: 20th calendar day of reference month / 9th calendar day of the following month
Except for the construction work price indices, the published figures are final data. Estimates of the construction work price indices are carried out on the 9th calendar day of the following month. Then, construction work price indices are updated using results of the finished quarterly survey and the finalised data are released on the 46th calendar day of the following quarter.
