Anti-Corruption Efforts

Following the Government Resolution No. 567 of 23 July 2025 on the Framework Departmental Internal Anti-Corruption Program the CZSO has its own Internal Anti-Corruption Program. Its aim is to continuously introduce preconditions preventing occurrence of a corrupt environment into the internal management and control system of the Office. This is not a one-off act, but a program responding to emerging situations and findings and be updated on an operational basis.

Within the CZSO, areas of the Office's activities with increased corruption potential are identified and described (the so-called Corruption Risk Map).

The Internal Anti-Corruption Program of the CZSO is based on the following basic pillars and measures:


Pillar 1: Creating and Strengthening an Anti-Corruption Environment Measures:

  • Promotion of ethical rules by executive management
  • Promotion of an anti-corruption stance by executive management
  • Training and education of employees


Pillar 2: Transparency Measures:

  • Publication of information regarding public funds
     
    • Information on the budget and final account of the budget Chapter 345 – Czech Statistical Office
    • Information relating to the management of state property
    • Information relating to public procurement
    • Information on concluded contracts
    • Other relevant information
       
  • Publication of information regarding advisors and collective advisory bodies
  • Publication of information regarding the decision-making system
  • Consolidation of the location of anti-corruption information on the CZSO website

Pillar 4: Reporting of Potential Unlawful Conduct and Whistleblower Protection Measures:

  • System for reporting potential unlawful conduct and whistleblower protection


Pillar 5: Evaluation of the Internal Anti-Corruption Program Measures:

  • Data collection and evaluation of the CZSO Internal Anti-Corruption Program
  • Report on the CZSO Internal Anti-Corruption Program
  • Update of the CZSO Internal Anti-Corruption Program
