Producer price indices - July 2015
On the increase were only construction work prices

were lower by 0.4% and prices of market services fell by 1.0%. In comparison to July 2014, agricultural producer prices went down by 9.0%, industrial producer prices decreased by 3.0% and prices of market services fell by 0.2%. Construction work prices were higher by 1.3%.
Month-on-month comparison:
Agricultural producer prices fell by 0.7%. Prices of fresh vegetables (-8.9%), poultry (-5.0%) and milk (-3.8%) decreased. Prices of pigs for slaughter went up by 3.0%.
Prices of industrial producers went down by 0.4%. Prices were lower primarily in ‘coke, refined petroleum products’. Prices fell in ‘basic metals, fabricated metal products’ (-0.6%) and transport equipment’ (-0.4%), thereof ‘parts and accessories for motor vehicles’ (-0.7%). Prices rose in ‘food products, beverages, tobacco’ (+0.3%), thereof ‘beverages’ (+0.8%), ‘preserved meat and meat products’ (+0.5%).
According to an estimate, construction work prices rose by 0.1% and construction material input prices fell by 0.3%.
Market services prices in the business sphere decreased by 1.0% due to the price decreasing of ‘advertising and market research services’ (-11.8%), ‘insurance, reinsurance and pension funding services’ (-1.0%) and ‘information services’ (-0.3%). Market services prices excluding advertising services fell by 0.1%.
Year-on-year comparison:
Agricultural producer prices decreased by 9.0% (-10.6% in June). Prices of crop products went down by 4.6%. Lower were prices of cereals by 9.1%. Higher were prices of fresh vegetables (+6.3%), fruit (+12.5%) and potatoes (+14.9%). Prices of animal products went down by 13.6% due to decreasing prices of milk (-21.2%), pigs for slaughter (-15.5%) and poultry
(-3.0%). On the increase were prices of cattle for slaughter (+2.8%) and eggs (+1.6%).
Prices of industrial producers were lower by 3.0% (-2.3% in June). Prices decreased particularly in ‘coke, refined petroleum products’. Prices went down in ‘chemicals and chemical products’ (-8.4%). Lower were prices in ‘food products, beverages, tobacco’ (-2.6%), thereof ‘dairy products’ (-9.1%), ‘other food products’ (-4.6%) and ‘preserved meat and meat products’ (-4.3%). Prices rose in ‘water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services’ (+3.4%) and ‘furniture, other manufactured products’ (+1.5%).
Among the main industrial groupings, prices of ‘energy’ (-7.0%) decreased the most, y-o-y.
According to an estimate, construction work prices increased by 1.3% (+1.4% in June after specification) and construction material input prices fell by 0.2% (+0.3% in June).
Prices of market services in the business sphere went down by 0.2% after 14 months of growth (+0.2% in June). Decreasing were prices in ‘land transport services and transport services via pipelines’ (-2.0%), ‘information services’ (-1.6%), ‘real estate services’ (-1.2%) and ‘insurance, reinsurance and pension funding services’ (-0.5%). On the increase were prices of ‘postal and courier services’ (+6.9%), ‘financial services, except insurance and pension funding’ (+4.3%) and ‘publishing services’ (+3.5%). Market services prices excluding advertising services were lower by 0.2% (in June stayed unchanged).
Industrial producer prices in the EU – June 2015*
According to the Eurostat News Releases, industrial producer prices decreased in June by 0.1% (+0.1% in May) in EU28, month-on-month. Among the Member States for which data are available, the largest decreases were observed in Lithuania (-1.5%), Denmark, Slovakia and Sweden (-0.9% all). Prices fell in the Czech Republic (-0.2%), Germany and Austria (-0.1% both) and rose in Poland (+0.4%). The highest increases were recorded in Spain (+0.9%), Estonia (+0.6%) and Hungary (+0.5%).
Industrial producer prices fell in June by 2.7% (-2.5% in May) in EU28, year-on-year. Prices went down the most in Lithuania (-8.5%), Denmark (-7.3%) and the United Kingdom (-6.7%). Prices decreased in Slovakia (-4.5%), the Czech Republic (-2.3%), Poland and Austria (-1.7% both) and Germany (-1.4%). Prices rose only in Luxembourg (+0.5%).
