Growth of industrial production continued

In July 2015, industrial production increased at constant prices by 4.6%, year-on-year. Working day adjusted industrial production increased by 7.2%, y-o-y. Compared to the previous month, seasonally adjusted industrial production was higher by 1.2%. The value of new orders increased by 2.2%, y-o-y.
In July 2015, industrial production increased at constant prices by 4.6%, y-o-y. Working day adjusted (WDA) industrial production increased by 7.2%, y-o-y. There was 1 working day less in July 2015 than in July 2014. Seasonally adjusted (as well as WDA) industrial production was higher by 1.2%, m-o-m. The following contributed the most to the y-o-y increase of industrial production: manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution +1.7 p.p., growth by 9.0%), manufacture of rubber and plastic products (contribution +0.5 p.p., growth by 7.0%), and manufacture of fabricated metal products (contribution +0.5 p.p., growth by 5.6%). Industrial production decreased in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (contribution -0.12 p.p., drop by 3.6%), manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products (contribution -0.11 p.p., drop by 10.9%), and manufacture of basic metals (contribution -0.10 p.p., drop by 4.0%).
The value of new orders in selected industrial CZ-NACE activities increased by 2.2%, y-o-y, in July 2015. Non-domestic new orders increased by 6.9%, while domestic new orders decreased by 6.1%. The y-o-y growth of new orders in total was the most contributed to by the following CZ-NACE divisions: manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution +3.4 p.p., growth by 9.5%), manufacture of electrical equipment (contribution +1.2 p.p., growth by 13.9%), and manufacture of machinery and equipment (contribution +0.3 p.p., growth by 2.9%). New orders decreased in manufacture of other transport equipment (contribution -2.1 p.p., drop by 57.6%), manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (contribution -0.7 p.p., drop by 10.8%), and manufacture of basic metals (contribution -0.6 p.p., drop by 9.6%).

*) The registered number of employees indicator does not include persons working under various contracts for work, working owners of enterprises, and cooperating household members, who do not have contracts of employment. Data on the registered number of employees in industry also exclude agency workers, who have contracts of employment within activities of services (CZ-NACE 78.2).
