In Q4 seasonally adjusted sales in market services increased by 0.9%, q-o-q, at constant prices, not seasonally adjusted by 6.3%, y-o-y. The fastest growth of sales was recorded in other business activities (+7.0%), while other service activities showed a 0.9% drop.
In 2007 sales increased by 5.8%. The highest growth of sales was registered in labour recruitment and provision of personnel (+22.8%) and in architectural and engineering activities (+11.7%).

In Q4 seasonally adjusted sales in market services 1) increased by 0.9%, quarter-on-quarter. Trend component grew by 1.3%.

Year-on-year, sales grew in Q4 2007 by 6.3%, working days adjusted (one working day more than in Q4 2006) by 6.1%. Seasonally adjusted sales increased by 6.2%. The most important sections in terms of volume, i.e. other business activities recorded a 7.0% growth, q-o-q, contributing by 5.4 p.p. to the total increase. Sales in computer and related activities increased by 4.2% which was the smallest growth in the past nine quarters. Other service activities as the only one among the observed divisions recorded a drop, y-o-y.
Year-on-year development of not seasonally adjusted sales in market services broken down by CZ-NACE divisions:
- sales in computer and related activities increased by 4.2% which was contributed to by all divisions. Most significant growth was recorded for sales in hardware and software consultancy and supply (+ 4.7%). The year-on-year growth was reported for data processing and database activities (+4.0%) and also for maintenance and repair of office and computing machinery (+0.8%);
- also in other business activities where sales increased by 7.0%, year-on-year, all observed groups of activities recorded the growth of sales. The most rapid growth of sales continued in labour recruitment and provision of personnel (+19.3%). A two-digit growth recorded in the previous quarter continued also in architectural and engineering activities (+11.1%). Sales in legal, accounting activities and tax consultancy increased by 6.7%, y-o-y. Demand for industrial cleaning continued to grow (+8.4%). In the group of activities identified as miscellaneous business activities including e.g. photographic, packaging, translation activities, holding of exhibitions, etc. a 4.7% growth was recorded. The slowest growth of sales (+2.6%) was reported for advertising;
- in other service activities a 0.9% drop was recorded, y-o-y, coming mainly from drop of sales in sections more significant in terms of volume such as hairdressing and other beauty treatment and funeral activities (-1.5%). Sales in washing and dry-cleaning of textile and fur products recorded a slight increase (+0.2%).

In 2007, sales in services recorded the fastest growth for the last decade. Over the year, sales in services increased by 5.8 %, at constant prices (in 2006 by 2.0 %). In the course of the year sales grew most in Q3 (+8.1%) and the smallest growth was recorded in Q1 (+3.8%). Like in Q4 also over the whole year the highest growth of sales was registered in labour recruitment and provision of personnel and in architectural and engineering activities.
- sales in computer and related activities increased, y-o-y, by 5.3% owed mainly to data processing and database activities (+6.8%, in Q1 +12.3%), while in 2006 the growth was contributed to mainly by hardware and software consultancy and supply;
- sales in other business activities increased by 6.1%, on average. The growth was recorded for all observed divisions. The most dynamic growth was recorded, like in 2006, for sales in labour recruitment and provision of personnel (+22.8%) while the slowest growth was reported for advertising (+2.0%, in 2006 a drop by 2.9%);
- sales in other service activities stagnated. The development was contributed to by growth in washing and dry-cleaning of textile and fur products (+2.8%), sales in hairdressing and other beauty treatment reported a drop by 1.4%, y-o-y.

1) For the purpose of New Releases, market services include the following CZ-NACE categories – computer and related activities and other business activities and other service activities..
2) The whole time series is seasonally adjusted every quarter; indices in the graph are changes retroactively.
