Market Services - 2. quarter of 2007

In Q2 2007, seasonally adjusted sales in market services increased by 1.1% quarter-on-quarter at constant prices. Year-on-year, not seasonally adjusted sales rose by 4.9%. The fastest sale growth occurred in computer and related activities (+5.6%).
In Q2 2007, seasonally adjusted sales in market services increased by 1.1% quarter-on-quarter at constant prices. The trend component grew by 1.2%.

Year-on-year sales increased by 4.9% in Q2 2007. Since Q2 2007 had the same number of working days as Q2 2006, the effect of working days adjustment did not show. Seasonally adjusted sales increased by 4.6%. The fastest growth occurred in computer and related activities. The biggest contribution of 3.8 p.p. to the total growth had other business activities. Other service activities recorded a slight increase by 0.6%.

Year-on-year development of not seasonally adjusted sales in market services broken down by CZ-NACE division:

- sales in computer and related activities increased by 5.6%, compared to the previous quarters the growth slowed down. In data processing and database activities a year-on-year increase by 6.4% was recorded and hardware and software consultancy and supply increased by 6.9%. Only maintenance and repair of office and computing machinery dropped for the first time after five quarters by 4.2%;

- in other business activities sales increased by 4.8%. High growth of sales in labour recruitment and provision of personnel continued (+21.4%). After one year of decreases miscellaneous business activities (photographic, translation, packaging and exhibition activities) increased (+10.5%). Industrial cleaning recorded a growth by 8.2%, architectural and engineering activities by 6.1%. In legal, accounting activities and tax consultancy sales increased by 3.8%. Also investigation and security activities contributed to the development by a sale increase by 5.2%. Advertising, as the only one among the observed categories, dropped by 2.2%;

- the growth of other service activities by 0.6% was contributed to by both in terms of volume significant hairdressing, funeral, physical well-being activities (+0.6%) and also washing and dry-cleaning of textile and fur products (+0.7%).
