Market Services - 1. quarter of 2007

In Q1 2007, seasonally adjusted sales in market services increased by 1.3% quarter-on-quarter at constant prices. Year-on-year, not seasonally adjusted sales rose by 4.3%. The fastest sale growth occurred in computer and related activities (+9.3%), on the contrary in other service activities they dropped (-1.5%).
In Q1 2007, seasonally adjusted sales in market services ¹⁾ increased by 1.3% quarter-on-quarter at constant prices. The trend component grew by 1.1%.

In Q1 2007 market services recorded a year-on-year growth of 4.3%, WDA growth was 4.6% (Q1 2007 had one working day less than Q1 2006). Seasonally adjusted sales in market services increased by 3.7%. The fastest growth occurred in computer and related activities. The biggest influence on the total development had other business activities, which contributed to the total year-on-year increase by 2.6 percentage points. Lower sales than last year were recorded in other service activities.

Year-on-year development of not seasonally adjusted sales in market services broken down by CZ-NACE division:

- sales in computer and related activities continued to grow since Q3 2005, in Q1 they increased by 9.3%, data processing and database activities increased by 12.4%, hardware and software consultancy and supply by 9.4% and maintenance and repair of office and computing machinery by 6.1%;
- in other business activities sales increased by 3.3%. The fastest growth in the long term was recorded in labour recruitment and provision of personnel (+27.5%), growth was also recorded in architectural and engineering activities (+9.4%). The growth of sales in legal, accounting activities and tax consultancy (+1.7%) continued for already a third quarter as well as in industrial cleaning (+5.6%). The lowest growth (+1.3%) had advertising, whose sales in all of the quarters of the last year had a decreasing tendency. Investigation and security activities recorded a slight increase of sales (+1.6%), only sales in miscellaneous business activities dropped year-on-year by 0.1%;
- year-on-year drop of other service activities by 1.5% was particularly caused by a drop of sales in, in terms of volume significant, hairdressing, funeral, physical well-being and other service activities (-4.1%). Sales in washing and dry-cleaning of textile and fur products increased by 3.5%.
