Export and Import Prices Decreased

In June 2025, export prices decreased month-on-month by 0.4%, in year-on-year comparison decreased by 0.1%. Import prices decreased month-on-month by 0.4%, year-on-year decreased by 0.5%. The terms of trade reached month-on-month the value of 99.9%, year-on-year 100.5%.

Export prices
In month-on-month
comparison, export prices decreased by 0.4% (after exchange rate adjustment increased by 0.2%). The biggest decrease was recorded in waste collection, treatment and disposal services’, ‘products of agriculture, hunting and related services’ and in ‘chemicals and chemical products’, by 5.8%, 2.9% and 2.3%, respectively. Significantly, prices increased in ‘electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning’ and in ‘coke and refined petroleum products’, by 4.5% and 1.9%, respectively.

In year-on-year comparison, export prices decreased by 0.1% (after exchange rate adjustment increased by 0.5%). The biggest decrease was recorded in ‘coke and refined petroleum products’, ‘waste collection, treatment and disposal services’ and in ‘chemicals and chemical products’, by 18.6%, 11.1% and 6.4%, respectively. The biggest increase was recorded in ‘wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture’ and in ‘products of agriculture, hunting and related services’, by 8.2% and 5.6%, respectively.

Import prices
In month-on-month
comparison, import prices decreased by 0.4% (after exchange rate adjustment increased by 0.3%). The prices decreased significantly in ‘crude petroleum and natural gas’ by 1.2%. Identically decreased prices in ‘leather and related products’, ‘textiles’ and in ‘electrical equipment’, by 1.0%. The biggest increase was recorded in ‘coke and refined petroleum products’ and in ‘furniture’, by 4.0% and 1.4%, respectively.

In year-on-year comparison, import prices decreased by 0.5% (after exchange rate adjustment increased by 0.2%). The prices decreased significantly in ‘coke and refined petroleum products’, ‘crude petroleum and natural gas’ and in ‘electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning’, by 15.5%, 11.7% and 8.1%, respectively. The prices increased significantly in ‘food products’ and in ‘motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers’, by 8.9% and 7.6%, respectively.

“In June the prices of export and import were significantly affected by the exchange rate of Czech Koruna to Euro and US Dollar. Month-on-month export and import prices decreased identically by 0.4%. Year-on-year export prices decreased by 0.1% and import prices decreased by 0.5%. A significant year-on-year decrease was recorded especially in the prices of propellant”, Vladimír Klimeš, Head of the Industrial and International Trade Prices Statistics Unit of the Czech Statistical Office, noted.

The terms of trade
In month-on-month
comparison, the terms of trade reached the value of 99.9% (100.2% in May). Significant negative value reached especially ‘coke and refined petroleum products’ (98.0%) and positive value reached ‘electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning’ (105.5%).

In year-on-year comparison, the terms of trade reached the value of 100.5% (100.4% in May). Significant positive value reached ‘wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture’ (109.8%) and negative value reached ‘furniture’ (89.4%).
