Pigmeat and beef production decline continued

Meat production total (excl. poultry meat) went down 17.4 % in September year-on-year due to both decrease in pigmeat and beef production (incl. veal) by 16.3 % and 21.4 %, respectively.

The average slaughter weight decreased 0.3 % to 587.6 kg for bulls and by 2.3 % to 104.8 kg for pigs for slaughter (excl. sows and boars) year-on-year.

Prices of agricultural producers rose by 7.0 % for bulls for slaughter year-on-year and for pigs for slaughter by 4.8 %.

Milk collection for dairies decreased 0.2 % in September year-on-year.

Since the beginning of the year meat production total (excl. poultry meat) has gone down 7.1 % year-on-year due to both decrease in pigmeat and beef production (incl. veal) by 6.4 % and 9.7 %, respectively.

The average slaughter weight has decreased by 0.5 % to 588.6 kg for bulls for slaughter year-on-year; in case of pigs for slaughter (excl. sows and boars) it has fallen by 0.2 % to 108.1 kg.

Prices of agricultural producers have risen by 2.3 % for bulls for slaughter year-on-year since the beginning of the year and by 7.2 % for pigs for slaughter.

Milk collected for dairies has decreased 1.9 % year-on-year since the beginning of the year.
