Pigmeat and beef production goes on falling

Meat production total (excl. poultry meat) went down 19.6 % in October year-on-year due to both decreases in pigmeat and beef production (incl. veal) by 19.1 % and 21.2 %, respectively.
The average slaughter weight decreased 0.5 % to 582.1 kg for bulls and by 2.4 % to 106.9 kg for pigs for slaughter (excl. sows and boars) year-on-year.
Prices of agricultural producers rose by 7.1 % for bulls for slaughter year-on-year and for pigs for slaughter by 4.6 %.
Milk collection for dairies went up 0.6 % year-on-year.
Since the beginning of the year meat production total (excl. poultry meat) has gone down 8.4 % year-on-year due to both decreases in pigmeat and beef production (incl. veal) by 7.7 % and 10.9 %, respectively.
The average slaughter weight has decreased by 0.5 % to 588.0 kg for bulls for slaughter year-on-year; in case of pigs for slaughter (excl. sows and boars) it has fallen by 0.4 % to 108.0 kg.
Prices of agricultural producers have risen by 2.9 % for bulls for slaughter year-on-year since the beginning of the year and by 6.8 % for pigs for slaughter.
Milk collected for dairies has decreased 1.7 % year-on-year since the beginning of the year.
