Meat production decreased in January

Meat production total (excl. poultry) decreased 8.4 % in January year-on-year due to both decrease; in pigmeat production 8.3 %, in beef production (incl. veal) 8.7 %.
The average slaughter weight of bulls for slaughter fell by 2.3 % to 575.9 kg y-o-y, whereas the same weight of pigs for slaughter (excl. sows and boars) increased 2.4 % to 111.2 kg.
Prices of agricultural producers rose 4.1 % for bulls for slaughter; in case of pigs for slaughter the same prices decreased 5.2 %.
Milk collection for dairies decreased 2.7 % in January.
