Overall confidence in the economy increased

Confidence in the economy among entrepreneurs increased in September in all sectors surveyed. It was up 5.1 points in selected services, 3.0 points in construction, 2.9 points in industry and 1.3 points in trade.
Consumer confidence increased in September. The confidence indicator rose by 0.6 points to 97.9. The number of consumers expecting the overall economic situation in the Czech Republic to worsen over the next twelve months and their financial situation to improve over the next twelve months was almost unchanged m-o-m. Even the number of households rating their current financial situation worse than in the previous twelve months remained unchanged compared with August. The share of consumers who believe that the current period is not conducive to making large purchases fell for the second consecutive month.
