Business confidence declined slightly m-o-m, consumer confidence increased

In October, business confidence increased in the construction (+1.2 points) and industry (+0.4 points) sectors. In trade, confidence fell by 4.2 points m-o-m and in selected service sectors by 1.8 points.
Consumer confidence increased m-o-m in October. The confidence indicator rose by 2.8 points to 100.7. The share of consumers expecting the overall economic situation in the Czech Republic to deteriorate over the next 12 months and their financial situation to worsen over the next 12 months decreased m-o-m. The number of households rating their current financial situation worse than in the previous twelve months remained almost unchanged for the fourth consecutive month. The share of consumers who believe that the current times are not suitable for making large purchases has increased.
