The consumption of nutrients in mineral fertilisers in the 2022/2023 marketing year reached 295 thousand tonnes. It was 1%, lower year-on-year, and fell by 13% compared to consumption 10 years ago. While nitrogen fertiliser consumption increased slightly (+1%) compared to the previous year, phosphate and potassium fertilisers were consumed less (-6% and -14%, respectively). Per hectare of fertilised agricultural land, 108.8 kg of nutrients from mineral fertilisers were consumed, of which 85.2 kg/ha of nitrogen, 14.2 kg/ha of phosphorus (P₂O₅) and 9.4 kg/ha of potassium (K₂O).
