In the 2024/2025 marketing year, the consumption of nutrients contained in mineral fertilizers reached a total of 302 thousand tonnes. Year‑on‑year, it increased by 1.2%, but compared with the level ten years ago, it was 15.7% lower. The consumption of nitrogen and potassium (in the form of K₂O) rose slightly compared with the previous period (+1.8% and +1.4%, respectively), and the consumption of phosphorus (in the form of P₂O₅) was 2.3% lower. Per hectare of fertilized agricultural area, 110.8 kg of nutrients from mineral fertilizers were applied, of which 85.8 kg was nitrogen, 15.0 kg was phosphorus (P₂O₅) and 10.0 kg was potassium (K₂O).
