Public Sector Satellite Account

Hide content

The Public Sector Satellite Account (SUVS) includes all units controlled by government institutions. In addition to entities classified in the government sector, whose data are used to calculate the Maastricht convergence criteria, the public sector includes government-controlled non-financial enterprises that operate on a market basis and public financial institutions, including the central bank. It thus represents a comprehensive view of the economy of the public sector, for which the consolidated debt and the balance of the economy are compiled.
