In 2023, CZK 670 billion was allocated for pensions paid by the Czech Social Security Administration. By the end of 2023, some pension was received by 2,846 thousand people in Czechia, of which 2,371 thousand people received an old-age pension. The average amount of old-age pension increased interannually by CZK 2,212 to CZK 20,310. The proportion of people who were granted an old-age pension before reaching retirement age (the so-called early old-age pension) reached 31% of all recipients of full old-age pensions.
