Migration

In 2025, the volume of international migration remained highly influenced by the migration of Ukrainian nationals. A total of 110.6 thousand people immigrated to Czechia, and 68.6 thousand people ended their residence in Czechia. Net migration added 42.0 thousand inhabitants, of whom 23.1 thousand had Ukrainian citizenship and 5.9 thousand had Slovak citizenship. A total of 286 thousand residents reported a change of municipality of residence within Czechia in 2025.
