The number of marriages entered into fell by more than a tenth year-on-year to 48.3 thousand in 2023. The proportion of women and men entering into their first marriage before the age of 50 also decreased, to 65 and 56%, respectively. A total of 19.5 thousand marriages were divorced in 20236, and the proportion of marriages terminated in divorce slightly decreased to 37%.
