In 2024, 44.5 thousand marriages were registered in the Czech Republic, the second-lowest number in this century. Provided that the nuptiality rates of single persons remain at the 2024 level, 53% of men and 62% of women will marry before the age of 50. A total of 20.8 thousand marriages were divorced in 2024. The proportion of marriages ending in divorce increased slightly year-on-year to 40%.
