Investment in ICT
Almost 372 CZK billion were invested in ICT equipment and software in Czechia in 2024, which accounted for 17,5 % of the total investments in Czechia and 4,6 % of GDP. Almost 75 % of this amount was made up of investments in Software (277 CZK billion), and investments in ICT equipment were 96 billion. In the same year, 28.1 billion CZK was allocated to software and ICT services R&D expenditures and 8.7 billion CZK was directed toward ICT equipment R&D expenditures. ICT R&D expenditures accounted for one fifth of the total R&D expenditures in Czechia. Households spent 125 billion crowns on ICT equipment and services in 2024, with 45 billion going to ICT equipment and software and 81 billion to ICT services.
