ICT specialists and their wages
About 220 thousand people work as ICT specialists, women in this professional group make up about 10% in the long term. Among ICT specialists, ICT professionals (ISCO 25) play a key role, primarily including analysts, software and application developers, and programmers. They represent approximately half of all ICT specialists in Czechi and the entire EU.
In 2024, the average gross monthly wage of ICT professionals increased by 7% year-on-year and reached the threshold of 94 thousand CZK, almost double the average salary of all employees in Czechia. While in Business sector, ICT professionals earned an average of 96 thousand CZK, in Government sector it was 54 thousand CZK. The difference in the salaries of ICT professionals by gender was 17 thousand CZK in favor of men in the wage sphere and 5 thousand CZK in the salary sphere.
