ICT in households and ICT users
In the Czech Republic, 7.7 million people over the age of 16 used the Internet in 2025, which was 88 % of the population of this age. While all households of people from the younger and middle generation, with exceptions, had internet at home, only six in ten of the households of the elderly were connected to the internet. The most common activities carried out by people on the Internet included using e-mail, reading online news, using Internet banking or shopping. The use of artificial intelligence has also come to the fore recently. In 2025, a third of the population over the age of 16 used AI tools for content creation.
