Environment - Quality reports
EU Member States provide the Commission (Eurostat) with reports on the quality of data transmitted on the base of Article 12 – Statistical quality of the Regulation (EC) 223/2009 on European statistics (which was amended by Regulation (EU) 2015/759).
Waste statistics
Specific requirements for waste statistics are laid down in sectoral legislation, namely in Regulation (EC) 2150/2002 on waste statistics and in Regulation (EU) 849/2010 amending Regulation (EC) 2150/2002. Reports on quality are provided regularly each two years.
Environmental economic accounts
Specific requirements are laid down in sectoral legislation, namely in
Regulation (EU) 538/2014 amending Regulation (EU) 691/2011 on European environmental economic accounts;
Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2174 on the indicative compendium of environmental goods and services, the format for data transmission for European environmental economic accounts and modalities, structure and periodicity of the quality reports pursuant to Regulation (EU) 691/2011; and in
Regulation (EU) 2022/125 amending Annexes I to V to Regulation (EU) 691/2011.
