Economic accounts for agriculture
The output of the agricultural industry , expressed in basic current prices, decreased by 2.7% to CZK 172,100.7 million in 2024 according to preliminary results. This value was influenced by a 5.2% decrease in crop production and a slight increase in animal production by 0.5%. The value of crop production was mainly represented by cereals (39.5%) and industrial crops (23.5%). The most significant share of animal production was represented by milk production (55.1%), pig for slaughter (14.0%), and cattle for slaughter (13.2%). Entrepreneurial income increased year-on-year by 22.0% to CZK 13,323.2 million. The semi-definitive results for 2024 will be published on 30 September 2025.
