Water management statistics annually provide information on the development of the water supply and sewerage sector.

The source of data on water supply and sewerage systems for 2024 is the new administrative data source of the Ministry of Agriculture named Selected data from property registry (VÚME) and Selected data from operating registry (VÚPE). Owners of water supply and sewerage systems are obliged to submit these records annually in accordance with the provisions of Section 5, paragraph 3, of Act No. 274/2001 Coll. on water supply and sewerage systems for public use.

Data from these registries are collected according to a different methodology than was used in the statistical survey VH8b-01. Due to these methodological differences, these data are not comparable with each other, which is why the time series of data based on VH8b-01 was terminated in 2023.
