Compared to Q2 2009, agricultural producer prices fell by 4.5% in Q3 2009. Prices of crop products
decreased by 7.9%, prices of animal products dropped by 0.7%. Prices of potatoes, vegetables and fruit decreased (-12.6%, -22.4% and -20.8%, respectively). Lower were prices of oil plants and cereals, both by 6.5%. Among animal products price decreases were recorded in poultry by 1.1%, milk and cattle for slaughter both by 2.4% and eggs by 3.8%. Price increases were reported for pigs for slaughter (+2.9%).
Prices of agricultural producers in Q3 2009 were by 23.9% lower, compared to Q2 2008, due to prices of crop products, which were 31.4% down. Lower were mainly prices of cereals by 38.6%, oil plants by 36.4% (sunflower and poppy, while prices of flax for industrial purposes were higher) and fruit by 24.2% (apples, plums and apricots). Prices of vegetables were 14.3% down. Prices of animal products were lower by 14.2% due to a price drop of milk (-27.7%). Lower were prices of poultry and pigs for slaughter by 9.3% and 2.9%, respectively. Prices of eggs were 5.4% up.


In Q3 2009 industrial producer prices dropped compared to Q2 2009 by 0.5 %. The biggest decreases were reported for prices of basic metals and fabricated metal products (-4.2%), transport equipment (-2.6%), computer, electronic and optical products (-2.4%). Prices of food dropped by 0.8%. Increases were reported mainly for prices in coke and refined petroleum products (+6.0%), chemicals and chemical products (+ 5.8%) and electrical equipment (+1.3%).


In the y-o-y comparison industrial producer prices in Q3 fell by 5.2% (in Q2 by 3.6%). The biggest drops were reported for prices of coke and refined petroleum products (-33.5%), basic metals and fabricated metal products (-18.5%) and chemicals and chemical products (-7.4%). Prices of food products decreased by 5.4%. Higher were mainly prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+10.9%), water (+6.9%) and basic pharmaceutical products (+3.4%).

In comparison to Q2 2009, construction work prices in Q3 2009 decreased by 0.1%, prices of construction material input prices dropped by 0.8%.
Construction work prices in Q3 2009 compared to the corresponding period of 2008 increased, y-o-y, by 0.5%, prices of construction material input decreased by 6.3%.
In comparison to Q2 2009, prices of market services decreased by 1.3% in Q3 2009. Lower were mainly prices of advertising and market research services by 9.8%, prices in freight transport by 1.3%, real estate services by 1.4% and prices of telecommunication services by 0.8%.
Compared to Q2 2008, in Q3 2009 prices of market services rose by 1.2% in total. Higher were mainly prices of advertising and market research services (+8.8%) and prices in computer programming, consultancy and related services (+7.0%). Prices of freight transport services dropped by 6.7% and prices of telecommunication services by 2.2%.
