In comparison to Q4 2008, agricultural producer prices fell by 6.6% in Q1 2009. Prices of crop products dropped by 5.6% and prices of animal products by 7.6%. Price decreases were recorded for oil plants (-11.3%), cereals (-10.8%) and vegetables (-3.8%). The prices of potatoes (+25.4%), hops (+19.5%) and fruit (+9.8%) rose. Among animal products, a downward price trend was observed for poultry (-2.6%), pigs for slaughter (-7.3%) and milk (-13.2%). The prices of eggs (+3.6%) and cattle for slaughter (+2.8%) grew.
Compared to Q1 2008, agricultural producer prices fell by 27.8%. Prices of crop products declined by 34.7% and prices of animal products by 18.6%. The main impact on crop product prices was lower prices of cereals (-45.5%). Price decreases were recorded in fruit (-33.0%, apples), oil plants (-32.6%), vegetables (-31.1%) and potatoes (-9.4%). In contrast, hop prices grew significantly (+101.4%). Prices of animal products decreased due to lower prices of milk (-35.1%), eggs (-14.3%) and poultry (-11.4%). Prices of pigs for slaughter and cattle for slaughter rose (+9.5% and +0.5% respectively).


In comparison to Q4 2008, industrial producer prices fell by 0.7% in Q1 2009. The most rapid price decreases were observed for coke and refined petroleum products (-20.6%), chemicals and chemical products (-12.4%) and basic metals and fabricated metal products (-5.5%). Mainly the prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+11.0%) and water (+6.7%) grew.


Compared to Q1 2008, industrial producer prices fell by 1.2% in Q1 2009 (-1.7% in Q4 2008 against Q4 2007). The largest price decreases were observed in coke and refined petroleum products (-35.5%), chemicals and chemical products (-11.0%), electrical equipment (-5.5%) and food products (-3.9%). Mainly the prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+11.4%) and water (+6.9%) grew.

In comparison to Q4 2008, construction work prices grew by 0.6% in Q1 2009; construction material input prices dropped by 1.7%.
Compared to Q1 2008, construction work prices grew by 2.9% in Q1 2009 (+3.9% in Q4 2008 against Q4 2007); construction material input prices decreased by 1.0% (+1.1% in Q4 2008 against Q4 2007).
In comparison to Q4 2008, market services prices dropped by 0.2% in Q1 2009. Price decreases were recorded in freight transport services (-3.7%), telecommunications services (-3.2%) and advertising and market research services (-1.1%). Prices of insurance services and financial services grew (+1.3% and + 2.7% respectively).
Compared to Q1 2008, market services prices rose by 2.1% in total in Q1 2009. Increases were recorded mainly in prices of architectural and engineering services (+4.7%), advertising and market research services (+5.9%) and computer programming, consultancy and related services (+6.5%). Prices of freight transport services (-1.9%) and telecommunications services (-3.9%) decreased.
