Prague - First Hand Figures 2009
Introductory word | Contents |
Dear users,
This year, like in the preceding ones, you have in your hands basic updated statistical data on Prague and its city sections for 2009.
This first statistical data summary is designed for the general public and presents selected information on Prague that the Czech Statistical Office produces and provides to users.
Today, CZSO web pages are the main source of statistical data. Statistical data on each of 14 Czech regions are published on regions´ web sites included in CZSO internet presentation. Virtually all standard data covering the whole Prague and individual city sections can be found at www.praha.czso.cz where also all publications brought out in electronic form are presented.
The range of time series that are published in the right menu at our web pages is continuously enlarged. For example, data on the population is available from 1919. Moreover, data on age structure of population of city sections by five-year age groups were added in the right menu in the “Hl. m. Praha” link. There are more than thirty themes filled with statistical data on Prague or 57 city sections in time series from 2001 available on our web sites in the middle of 2010.
The most requested data on 57 city sections are well-arranged so they allow easy comparisons between city sections.
We have plenty of information offered in English language: Statistical Yearbook of Prague (Numeri Pragenses) should be mentioned at first, time series on our web sites www.praha.czso.cz and Lexicon of Prague are available in English.
Apart from regular data there were some extra information at the end of the brochure in previous years. Last year, you could find selected data for 57 city sections in time series. This year the extra part contains data on income and living conditions of households from sample survey „Living conditions 2008“.
Products that are brought out by our section in 2010:
