Note to consumer prices of energy - January 2026

Fee for supported energy sources (POZE) – was cancelled from January 2026 for households supplied by electricity, as follows from Price Decision of the Energy Regulatory Office No. 15/2025 of December 29, 2025.

Cancellation of POZE in the amount of CZK 599/MWh from January 2026 was reflected in the calculation by a corresponding decrease in price index for January 2026.

Overall consumer price index without including influence of this measure would have reached a value 101.3% (instead of 100.9%), month-on-month, of which for electricity 100.8% (instead of 91,6%). Similarly, overall index would have reached a value 102.0% (instead of 101.6%), year-on-year, of which for electricity 96,7% (instead of 87,8%).
