Essential Professional and Scientific Engagements
Mr Jaroslav Sixta has been professionally engaged in the field of macroeconomic statistics and national accounts. He contributed to implementation of European national accounts standards (ESA 1995 and ESA 2010) at first in the area of non-financial assets and useful life models, then in input-output tables. Concurrently, he also cooperated on capitalisation of intangible assets in accordance with the ESA 2010 standard. Besides his work for the Czech Statistical Office he also devotes his time to scientific and pedagogic activities in the domain of economic statistics and national accounts at the Prague University of Economics and Business, Prague, Czech Republic. He cooperated there on estimates of the gross domestic product of the Czech Republic for the years 1970 to 1989. He is also an author or a co-author of two teaching texts and over a hundred of scientific and professional papers, conference papers, and research studies.
