Annual (structural) statistics on industry
Total sales in industry fell by 8% in 2023, year-on-year. The manufacturing industry did better, increasing sales by 2.7%, year-on-year, mainly thanks to positive developments in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, manufacture of other transport equipment, and manufacture of parts and accessories for motor vehicles. On the other hand, manufacture of chemicals and chemical products and manufacture of basic metals decreased.
