Annual (structural) statistics on industry
In 2022, 1 403 thousand people were employed in industry. Despite a slight year-on-year increase, the industry still does not reach the values of the “pre-covid” year 2019, when it employed 1 438 thousand persons. In terms of the total sales, the industrial sector recorded an increase for the second year in a row, when sales increased by 34%, year-on-year, to CZK 8 859 billion.
