Transportation - Quality reports

EU Member States provide the Commission (Eurostat) with reports on the quality of data transmitted on the base of Article 12 – Statistical quality of the Regulation (EC) No 223/2009 on European statistics (which was amended by Regulation (EU) No 2015/759). Specific requirements for transportation statistics are laid down in sectoral legislation. Data are provided by Ministry of Transport.

Specific requirements for air transport statistics are laid down in Regulation (EC) 437/2003 on statistical returns in respect of the carriage of passengers, freight and mail by air.

Specific requirements for railway transport statistics are laid down in Regulation EU 2018/643 on rail transport statistics.

Specific requirements for road freight transport statistics are laid down in Regulation (EU) 70/2012 on statistical returns in respect of the carriage of goods by road.
