New construction work orders

Construction enterprises contracted 23 804 new construction work orders, worth about CZK 83.8 billion (most since 1995), which translates into an increase of 32.1 % y-o-y . Large orders drive construction, which help to improve infrastructure of economy; also ever increasing demand for new office and buying premises.

By types of construction the volume of new domestic orders:
- especially increased in the civil engineering works by 78.0 % (underground, highways);
- increased in the construction of non-residential buildings designed for production by 20.1 % (constructions by foreign developers);
- increased in residential buildings by 15.2 % (mortgage credits, saving for building purposes or purchase of house);
- decreased in the water management works by 10.8 % (high reference basis thanks removing of flood damages in water works);
- decreased in the construction of non-residential buildings not designed for production by 8.3 %.

The average value of domestic new construction work orders was CZK 3.5 million and increased by 24.5 % y-o-y.


The value of construction work orders cancelled in Q3 2004 was CZK 0.9 billion, it was cancelled 168 orders.


Supply of construction orders as at 30 September 2004

Construction enterprises with 20+ employees, whose principal activity is building and civil engineering and site preparation (CZ-NACE 451 and 452), concluded a total of 18.7 thousand construction work orders. The orders represented a CZK 213.3 billion worth supply of construction work not yet carried out in total.

Domestic and non-domestic construction work orders accounted for 97.2 % and 2.8 % of the total volume, respectively. Of the total volume of domestic orders, public orders amounted to CZK 157.9 billion (76.1 %) and private ones to CZK 49.5 billion (23.9 %) at the end of Q3 2004.


Type of construction work order

Public and private new construction orders amounting to CZK 57.4 billion and CZK 26.3 billion respectively. Supply of public and private construction orders representative 68.6% and 31.4%.The relation between private and public orders is affected, that first of all the bigger construction enterprises in the statistical survey are included, which ones considerably higher share of public orders. In whole collection of construction enterprises with 20+ employees public and private construction orders representative 52 % and 48 %.
The number of new work orders is 23 804, most of them are private orders 60.1 %.

The volume of construction work order

The linear relation between volume of construction order and construction enterprises exists. Primarily the big enterprises realise big construction orders, which are capable of guarantying of construction complexly on technology level.

The progress schedule for completion of construction orders

From the total value of orders amounting to CZK 213.3 billion it will be realised 68.0 %, in comparison    with Q3 2003 it is decrease about 4.1 point. During the next first 6 months it will be realised 42.8 % from total value work orders.
