New construction work orders
In Q1 2005 , construction enterprises contracted 14 840 new construction work orders, worth about CZK 43.9 billion, which translates into a decrease of 9.9 % y-o-y . The decrease was partially influenced by the high reference basis of the 1 st quarter of 2004 when contracts entered into included the lowered VAT (before its change).
By types of construction the volume of new domestic orders:
- increased in the construction of non-residential buildings designed for production by 29.2 %;
- decreased in residential buildings by 30.5 % (thanks high reference basis in first quarter of 2004, when growth 98.8 % y-o-y was influenced by concluding of orders on construction of building complexes in the towns of Prague, Kolín, Karlovy Vary and Liberec);
- decreased in the construction of non-residential buildings not designed for production by 17.7 %;
- decreased in the water management works by 13.1 %;
- decreased in the civil engineering works by 3.7 %.
The average value of domestic new construction work orders was CZK 3.0 million and decreased by 2.2 % y-o-y.
Public and private new construction orders amounting to CZK 21.8 billion (49.7 %) and CZK 22.1 billion (50.3 %) respectively. The number of new work orders is 14 840, most of them are private orders 66.5 %.
The value of construction work orders cancelled in Q1 2005 was CZK 0.5 billion.
The volume of construction work order
The linear relation between volume of construction order and construction enterprises exists. Primarily the big enterprises realise big construction orders, which are capable of guarantying of construction complexly on technology level.

The progress schedule for completion of construction work orders in the CR
From the total number of orders 16.0 thousands it will be realised 94.8 % in next 12 months, which is much the same y-o-y. This indicator move above 90 % in the long term. During the next first 6 months it will be realised 81.5 % from total number work orders.
From the total value of orders amounting to CZK 207.1 billion it will be realised 69.6 % in next 12 months, in comparison with Q1 2004 it is decrease about 2.4 point. During the next first 6 months it will be realised 42.8 % from total value work orders.
