New construction work orders:
The volume of new construction work orders concluded in the CR stood at CZK 48.6 billion,which translates into an increase of 10.2% y-o-y .
By types of construction the volume of new domestic orders:
- especially increased in the construction of residential buildings by 99.6% (building complexes in the towns of Prague, Kolín, Karlovy Vary and Liberec). This considerable growth was influenced by favourable situation in the market of mortgage credits and saving for building purposes or purchase of house and also was attributed to the lower reference basis of 1stquarter 2003;
- increased in the construction of water management works by 55.3% especially thanks removing of flood damages in water works and realization of flood measures;
- increased in the construction of non-residential buildings designed for production by 41.7%;
- in the civil engineering works was without considerably changes (0.3% up);
- decreased in the construction of non-residential buildings not designed for production by 3.1%.
The average value of domestic new construction work orders was CZK 3.1 million and decreased by 3.6% q-o-q.
The value of construction work orders cancelled in Q1 2004 was CZK 0.9 billion.
Supply of construction orders as at 31 March 2004:
Construction enterprises with 20+ employees, whose principal activity is building and civil engineering and site preparation (CZ-NACE 451 and 452), concluded a total of 15.7 thousand construction work orders. The orders represented a CZK 173.4 billion worth supply of construction work not yet carried out in total.
Domestic and non-domestic construction work orders accounted for 98.5% and 1.5% of the total volume, respectively. Of the total volume of domestic orders, public orders amounted to CZK 125.7 billion and private ones to CZK 45.1 billion at the end of Q1 2004.
Type of construction work order:
Public and private new construction orders amounting to CZK 29.0 bn and CZK 19.6 bn, respectively. Supply of public and private construction orders representative 73.6% and 26.4%.The relation between private and public orders is affected, that first of all the bigger construction enterprises in the statistical survey are included, which ones considerably higher share of public orders.
The volume of construction work order:
The linear relation between volume of construction order and construction enterprises exists. Primarily the big enterprises realise big construction orders, which are capable of guarantying of construction complexly on technology level.

The progress schedule for completion of construction orders:
The share of orders with period of realization in 13 and next months increased and the share of orders realised in first 12 months complete with share of orders realised during the first 6 months decreased.
