R&D expenditure
In 2024, was CZK 146.9 billion spent on research and development in the Czech Republic. The share of R&D expenditure in GDP was 1.82%. The EU average is around 2.3% of GDP for several years. The highest amount of money for R&D was financed from business sources, it was more than CZK 93 billion. Business resources account for more than 60% of R&D expenditures in Czechia. CZK 43.1 billion was provided for R&D from government national sources and CZK 9.2 billion from EU sources.
