There was 935 thousand employees using computer for work at least once a week in selected enterprises at the end of 2003, it was about 38 % of total number of employees. This number grew up less then by 2,5 percent point on year-to-year comparison. Highest share of employees using computer was reported in section of financial intermediation, where the share was 92,6 % and went down by nearly one percent point. More then 424 thousand women employee used computer and the share on total number of women employee was approximately 42 %.

A number of employees with access to E-mail increased only little to 691 thousand employees and their share was 28 %. Share of employees with access to Internet web sites grew up by 3,5 percent points, 627 employees were reported.

The share of ICT specialists enabling ICT usage to other employees on total number of employees in enterprises with 10 and more employees reached 1,9 %, their share is lower in smaller enterprises. Share of women ICT specialists on women employee was only 0,6 %.

Number of employees engaged in home-teleworking was 0,4 %. Share of women employee engaged in home-teleworking on total number of women employee was rated only 0,2 %.

In 2003 approximately 138 thousand of employees attended ICT training and it is 5,6 % of total number of employees. In enterprises with 10 and more employees this share has reached 5,8 % and interannual nearly doubled (3,2 % in 2002). The share rose with size of enterprises. Percentage of women employee having attended ICT training was by 0,3 percent point higher then it corresponds to the equivalent one for employees.
