I.2. Households´ access to personal computer* and internet
Nearly 30% of the Czech households are equipped with a personal computer and 19% have access to the internet.

* Personal computer includes desktop computer, portable computer and palmtop.

From households with the internet connection 63 % have connection over the telephone line (dial-up), 27 % have broadband connection, 8 % use ISDN line and 4 % use mobile phone (GPRS, HSCSD) (see the chart 4).
