New construction work orders
In Q4 2004, construction enterprises contracted 22 232 new construction work orders, worth about CZK 63.4 billion, which translates into a decrease of 5.8 % y-o-y. Decrease was influenced especially by movements in settlement of tenders on some public orders of large constructions. Construction enterprises could not include new construction work orders to cessation of these tenders.
By types of construction the volume of new domestic orders:
- especially increased in the civil engineering works by 36.8 % (underground, highways);
- increased in the water management works by 13.0 %;
- decreased in the construction of non-residential buildings not designed for production by 43.7 %;
- decreased in residential buildings by 25.6 %;
- decreased in the construction of non-residential buildings designed for production by 10.7 %.
The average value of domestic new construction work orders was CZK 2.9 million and decreased by 10.2 % y-o-y.
The value of construction work orders cancelled in Q4 2004 was CZK 0.9 billion.
Supply of construction orders as at 31 December 2004
Construction enterprises with 20+ employees, whose principal activity is building and civil engineering and site preparation (CZ-NACE 451 and 452), concluded a total of 14.8 thousand construction work orders. The orders represented a CZK 212.5 billion worth supply of construction work not yet carried out in total.
Domestic and non-domestic construction work orders accounted for 94.7 % and 5.3 % of the total volume, respectively. Of the total volume of domestic orders, public orders amounted to CZK 155.2 billion and private ones to CZK 46.0 billion at the end of Q4 2004.
Type of construction work order
Public and private new construction orders amounting to CZK 40.4 billion and CZK 23.0 billion respectively. Supply of public and private construction orders representative 63.7% and 36.3%.The relation between private and public orders is affected, that first of all the bigger construction enterprises in the statistical survey are included, which ones considerably higher share of public orders.
The number of new work orders is 22 232, most of them are private orders 64.1 %.
The volume of construction work order
The linear relation between volume of construction order and construction enterprises exists. Primarily the big enterprises realise big construction orders, which are capable of guarantying of construction complexly on technology level.
