Energy Balances of the Czech Republic

This publication takes up on previous publications of the Czech Statistical Office issued from 1998 containing always the Czech Republic energy balances for three year period ( publications issued in June 1998 under the file number 675/98 - 3150, in May 1999 under the file number 573/99 – 3150, in January 2000 under the file number 95/2000-3150, in January 2001 under the file number 86/2001-2110 and in February 2002 under the file number 85/2002-2110.

This publication comprises final energy balance for 1999 and 2000 and energy balance for 2001.

Furthermore, it comprises attached tables with preliminary data for 2002 concerning extraction, production and imports of natural gas, electricity, coal and some liquid fuels in division by individual months.

The whole publication is presented in Czech and English version (including all tables translation).

The publication is completed with a graphs section representing development of the principal energy balance indicators from 1990.

Change against previous annual volumes consists in a fact that at electricity and heat production there is involved additional energy process – steam gas cycle and co-generation.

In conclusion of the publication there are described the CR energy balance indicators according to the Czech Statistical Office methodology. Methodical contents of the fundamental energy balance indicators are in the long-term stable, so as to secure data comparability in time series.
