Industrial production in June 2007 grew by 6.9% year-on-year and by 0.5% month-on-month. Compared with the average month of the base year 2000, industrial production in June 2007 was by 67.1% higher. Year-on-year saw June higher industrial production in Sections: D – ‘Manufacturing‘ (+7.5%) and C – ‘Mining and quarrying’ (+5.5%), while the production of Section E – ‘Electricity, gas and water supply’ dropped (-2.4%).
In June, the output of ‘Manufacturing’ increased especially in subsections: DM – ‘Manufacture of transport equipment’ (+14.9%), DH – ‘Manufacture of rubber and plastic products’ (+13.6%), DL – ‘Manufacture of electrical and optical equipment’ (+12.6%), DK – ‘Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c’ (+12.2%) and DI – ‘Manufacture of non-metallic mineral products’ (+9.4%). The most a decrease was seen in section DC – ‘Manufacture of leather and leather products’ (-7.0%).
The June year-on-year IPI broken down by main industrial grouping increased most in the grouping for ‘Capital Goods’ (+14.5%).
