Industrial production in July 2007 grew by 11.5% year-on-year and by 9.5% month-on-month declined. Compared with the average month of the base year 2000, industrial production in July 2007 was by 50.9% higher. Year-on-year saw July higher industrial production in Sections: D – ‘Manufacturing‘ (+12.7%) and E – ‘Electricity, gas and water supply’ (+0.1%), while the production of Section C – ‘Mining and quarrying’ dropped (-3.1%),
In July, the output of ‘Manufacturing’ increased especially in subsections: DH – ‘Manufacture of rubber and plastic products’ (+23.3%), DL – ‘Manufacture of electrical and optical equipment’ (+23.1%), DK – ‘Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c’ (+22.3%) and DM – ‘Manufacture of transport equipment’ (+18.5%). A decrease was seen in sections DF – ‘Manufacture of coke, refined petroleum products’ (-3.1%), DC – ‘Manufacture of leather and leather products’ (-1.8%) and DJ ‘Manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products’ (-0.6%).
The July year-on-year IPI broken down by main industrial grouping increased most in the grouping for ‘Capital Goods’ (+14.5%). Industrial production dropped in MIG Energy (-2.3%).
