Industrial production in February 2007 grew by 15.4% year-on-year, while dropped by 0.8% month-on-month. Compared with the average month of the base year 2000, industrial production in February 2007 was by 53.6% higher. Year-on-year saw February higher industrial production in Sections: C – ‘Mining and quarrying’ (+2.7%) and D – ‘Manufacturing‘ (+17.6%). A drop was recording for Section E – ‘Electricity, gas and water supply’ (-4.3%).

The highest increases in ‘Manufacturing’ were reported in Subsections: DL – ‘Manufacture of electrical and optical equipment’ (+41.2%), DI – ‘Manufacture of non-metallic mineral products’ (+32.6%), DH – ‘Manufacture of rubber and plastic products’ (+26.9%) and DK – ‘Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c.’ (+26.1%), while a decrease was seen in Subsection DC – ‘Manufacture of leather and leather products’ (-7.6%).

The February year-on-year IPI broken down by main industrial grouping increased most in the grouping for ‘Consumer Durables’ (+41.1%).
