Population of the CR

Population figures as for 1 January 2005 for districts are recalculated according to the territorial changes stipulated in Act No. 387/2004 Coll., on changes of district borders. It includes transfer of 28 municipalities between regions (NUTS 3) and districts (NUTS 4):
  • municipality Senorady from the district Třebíč to the district Brno-venkov
  • municipalities Borač, Borovník, Černvír, Dolní Loučky, Doubravník, Drahonín, Horní Loučky, Kaly, Katov, Křižínkov, Kuřimská Nová Ves, Kuřimské Jestřabí, Lubné, Nedvědice, Níhov, Olší, Pernštejnské Jestřabí, Rojetín, Řikonín, Skryje, Tišnovská Nová Ves, Újezd u Tišnova, Vratislávka and Žďárec from the district Žďár nad Sázavou to the district Brno-venkov
  • municipalities Huzová, Moravský Beroun and Norberčany from the district Bruntál to the district Olomouc


Further alterations of the publication since 1st quarter 2005 are following:
  1. added new tables 3.1.1. Death males by cause of death and 3.1.2. Death females by cause of death
  2. cancelled table 3.2. Deaths: by sex and age group and included figures moved to table 1.1. Population and vital statistics (with the exception of age groups of deaths). Table 1.1. was further expanded for the figures on legal abortions.
  3. omitted data for Slovak republic in tables 5.1. Immigrants and 5.2. Emigrants, as the sources of the data on migration – the Alien Information System and the Central Population Register Record – do not include such information. The CZSO receives the data from the Directorate of Alien and Border Police Service and from the Ministry of the Interior of the CR.
