The Economic accounts for forestry have been worked out for the CR for the first time and that’s for the year 2002. Ideas and rules of the EAF lie in the European System of Integrated Economic Accounts ESA 1995, which allows comparison of data between states of Europe. The methodical principles applied for compiling the EAF are based on the equal standard that is used for the Economic accounts for agriculture.

The output of the forestry sector valued at the current basic prices amounted to 30 404,1 mil. CZK in the year 2002.Timber has comprised the most significant part of this output ( 73,4 %), the output of the coniferous timber was predominating. The rest of the total output was made up especially by the forestry work supplied to the other unit, it means forestry services (15,3 %), and non-forestry secondary activities that shared the output of the forestry sector by 9,0 % in the year 2002 (inseparable activities, for example wood-working and agriculture activities).

The intermediate consumption (15 879,7 mil. CZK) shared the total output by 52,2 %. The most important part of the total intermediate consumption was represented by other goods and services (42,5 %) and forestry services (29,3 %).

The gross value added at basic prices was 14 524,4 mil. CZK in the year 2002. The net value added at basic prices was 12 739,4 mil. CZK (acquired from gross value added after deducting fixed capital consumption).

The factor income was 12 825,4 mil. CZK, the operating surplus amounted to 7 414,4 mil. CZK. The compensation of employees was 5 411,0 mil. CZK.
