Notes on tables

Tables 20-6. to 20-11. Other market services

These tables list basic indicators for entities classified to CZ-NACE Divisions 70 to 93. They cover incorporated legal persons as well as natural persons running their businesses under trade or other licence. Included in other market services are only entities whose aim is to make profit, while a considerable part of entities classified to these economic activities (especially to education, health service, research and development, public administration, culture, etc.) belongs to the non-business sphere (government departments, semi-subsidized organizations partially financed from state and local budgets, and non-profit organizations). Data that characterise this sphere of the economy can be found in other chapters of the Yearbook.

Definitions of employment indicators, methodological description of financial indicators and definitions of sales indicators can be found in Chapters 10. Labour Market, 16A. Industry and 18. Trade, Hotels and Restaurants, Tourism, respectively.

___________

The time series of the basic indicators is not fully comparable. In 2000, data on housing cooperatives and the cooperatives of owners of dwellings and houses ceased to be measured, and available administrative sources have been used since to identify activities of enterprises. This resulted in changes in the indicator values published before.
