Prices of producers – Reports on quality
EU Member States provide the Commission (Eurostat) with reports on the quality of data transmitted on the base of Article 12 – Statistical quality of the Regulation (EC) 223/2009 on European statistics (which was amended by Regulation (EU) 2015/759).
Industrial producer prices
Specific requirements are laid down in sectoral legislation, namely in Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 on European business statistics, in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1197; and until 31/12/2023 in Regulation (EC) No 1165/98 concerning short-term statistics. The report on quality mentioned bellow is provided regularly every year.
Construction prices
Specific requirements are laid down in sectoral legislation, namely in Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 on European business statistics, and in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1197.
Service producer prices
Specific requirements are laid down in sectoral legislation, namely in Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 on European business statistics, in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1197; and until 31/12/2023 in Regulation (EC) No 1165/98 concerning short-term statistics. The report on quality is provided regularly every year.
Electricity and gas prices
Specific requirements are laid down in sectoral legislation, namely in Regulation (EU) 2016/1952 on European statistics on natural gas and electricity prices, and Commission implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/803 concerning the technical requirements regarding the content of quality reports on European statistics on natural gas and electricity. The reports on quality are provided every three years. Next reports will be provided in 2028 for the reference period 2027. Electricity and gas prices are covered within industrial producer prices statistics.

Agricultural land prices and rents
Specific requirements are laid down in sectoral legislation, namely in Regulation (EU) 2022/2379 on statistics on agricultural input and output, and in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1579 laying down rules as regards agricultural price statistics (Text with EEA relevance). The report on quality is provided every 5 years regularly; next one will be for the reference year 2024.
