Number of women and men, demographic events

In the Czech population, women have a long-term slight predominance - at the end of 2025, they accounted for 50.8% of the total population, in absolute terms there were 174.9 thousand more women than men. Among foreigners, women represented 47.8% at the end of 2025. Women born in 2025 in the Czech Republic were expected to live 83.2 years, while men 5.7 years less. The mean age of living women was 44.7 years and men 41.8 years at the end of 2025.
