Hunting

The total area of hunting grounds was 6 885 394 hectares (as of 1 April 2024). The number of persons permanently executing hunting rights on hunting grounds increased slightly to 88 584. The number of dogs with hunting qualification was 29 563. In the period 2024/2025, record-breaking numbers of shot roe deer (137 408 heads) and fallow deer (50 245 heads) were recorded, while the number of shot wild boar fell by 25% to 193 554 heads.
