The census is the largest statistical survey. It has been carried out once every ten years on the entire territory of the country since 1869. It collects data on the population, its demographic, social, cultural and economic characteristics, on households, the standards of housing and the structure of the housing and dwelling stock. Thanks to this, the results make it possible to compare the current state of our country with the past and with the rest of the world as well.
